About Us
The Partnership for Minority HIV/AIDS Prevention (PMHAP) is a nonprofit, community-based organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since 1999, we have worked locally, in Cuba, Ecuador and Togo, West Africa fight the spread of HIV/AIDS among people of African descent and have worked with other communities of color in this fight.
Our mission: To work with community partners, in the USA and abroad, to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS through HIV prevention, outreach, and community mobilization.
We combine effective HIV prevention strategies with art and culture, community service efforts and health promotion events and community mobilization efforts to accomplish our mission.
